Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments through preliminary interviews, carefully documenting case histories from the first consultation to treatment completion.

• Evaluate and analyze clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, utilizing evidence-based tools and methodologies.

• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups based on thorough assessments and client goals.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that empower clients to explore their thoughts and emotions in a safe space.

• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, making necessary adjustments to enhance therapeutic efficacy.

• Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team of mental health specialists, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care.

• Follow up with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients requiring hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Nevada.

• Proof of passing scores on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor, ideally in a clinic or community health setting.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as AVATAR or similar platforms.
\n
• Understanding of the interplay between underlying physical and emotional health conditions, as well as experience with addiction disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• In-depth knowledge of the pharmacological implications of medications prescribed by medical specialists.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, showcasing empathy and a supportive attitude towards clients.

Preferred Experience\n

While previous mental health counseling experience is essential, we particularly value candidates who have worked with underrepresented populations and have familiarity with culturally responsive treatment approaches. Compensation and Benefits\n
