Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments during initial consultations, meticulously documenting each client's journey from their first visit through to the completion of their treatment.

• Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups based on comprehensive evaluations.

• Facilitate engaging and therapeutic individual and group therapy sessions, implementing evidence-based techniques to promote healing and personal growth.

• Monitor and evaluate clients' progress regularly, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and social workers, to create integrated care plans that address all aspects of wellbeing.

• Provide continuous follow-up support to clients who have been admitted to hospitals, ensuring a smooth transition back to outpatient care.

• Assist families and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the mental and behavioral challenges faced by their loved ones, providing education and resources as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Mental Health Counselor will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals from varied backgrounds facing a range of mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, and addiction disorders. The counselor will be instrumental in helping clients develop coping strategies, enhance emotional resilience, and achieve their mental health goals in a supportive therapeutic environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts.

• Evidence of a passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proven experience working as a mental health counselor, particularly in telehealth settings if possible.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically AVATAR, to ensure accurate and up-to-date client documentation.

• Experience in managing complex cases involving co-occurring disorders, including underlying physical and emotional health conditions.

• Familiarity with best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong understanding of the interactions between prescribed medications and mental health treatment limitations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
