Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and assessments to gauge clients’ needs from initial consultations through the entirety of their treatment.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic modalities tailored to the unique circumstances and goals of each client.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that promote personal insights and support coping mechanisms.
\n
• Continuously monitor and document client progress throughout their treatment journey, revising care plans as necessary to reflect their evolving needs.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create comprehensive intervention plans.
\n
• Follow up with clients regarding medications prescribed by other specialists, ensuring they are informed about potential side effects and managing any concerns they may have.
\n
• Identify and address behaviors or thoughts that may hinder recovery, providing strategies for clients to overcome these challenges.
\n
• Offer guidance and support to families and primary caregivers in managing mental health challenges and enhancing their relational dynamics.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients include individuals experiencing a range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. Working with diverse demographics, including children, teens, and adults, you will be instrumental in delivering culturally competent care that meets clients where they are in their healing journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor with a deep understanding of various therapeutic techniques.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for efficient documentation and management of client information.

• Experience addressing co-occurring physical and mental health conditions, as well as substance use disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices for ethical treatment.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, accompanied by a generous sign-on bonus.
