As a remote-based position, you will have the flexibility to work from your home environment while being an integral part of our dedicated telehealth team. Our state-of-the-art telehealth platform facilitates seamless communication with clients and allows for efficient documentation using electronic health record systems such as AVATAR. You will have the opportunity to engage with colleagues virtually, participate in team meetings, and collaborate on treatment approaches from anywhere in the state of New Jersey.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed preliminary interviews with clients, documenting their personal histories, emotional health, and psychosocial factors from the initial consultation through the treatment journey.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, employing evidence-based assessment tools to inform diagnosis and treatment planning.
\n
• Develop and implement individualized intervention and recovery plans, including evidence-based therapeutic modalities for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Lead engaging individual and group therapy sessions, facilitating discussions that encourage personal sharing, skill-building, and goal-setting.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout the duration of the treatment plan, making adjustments as needed based on client feedback and observable outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with other mental health specialists, providing integrated care that may involve outreach to psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and social workers to enhance overall treatment effectiveness.

• Follow up with clients discharged from hospitals to support ongoing recovery and prevent relapse, reinforcing positive coping mechanisms.

• Educate and assist family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing their loved ones' mental health challenges, promoting a holistic approach to recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience working in mental health counseling settings, showcasing your ability to engage with clients effectively.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly with AVATAR or similar platforms, for efficient documentation and case management.
\n
• Understanding of various mental health issues, including the intersection of physical conditions and addiction disorders.
\n
• Committed to best practices aligned with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on empathy and interpersonal abilities to establish rapport with diverse clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
