Intake Coordinator

[ Job Summary The Intake Coordinator will collaborate and partner with the admissions team to assist in the intake and admissions process for clients being admitted into a program for treatment services. This position is the first point of contact with clients, following the application and referral process. Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greet clients as they are entering a treatment program.
• Create a client/customer focused experience for all clients seeking treatment

services. ▪ Facilitate the intake process to ensure appropriate treatment for all potential clients.

• Assist clients with required paperwork during the intake & admissions process.
• Ensure clients who are meeting with remote staff are placed on telehealth

technology.

• Walk clients back to medical services, if needed for ambulatory withdrawal.
• Clearly communicate with admission team to ensure clients are moving through

the intake and admissions process as quickly as possible.

• Log into the admissions call que to answer calls between appointments.
• Manage and screen all walk-in appointments.
• Cover front desk, as needed.

Required Skills & Experience (Minimum Qualifications):

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• At least 1 year of freedom from problematic substances.
• Must be comfortable working with people with life-controlling challenges,

including mental health and addiction. ▪ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to effectively manage time. ▪ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, staff, and leadership. ▪ The ability to live and work by MnTC’s culture of honor & core values – practicing compassion, hospitality, respect, integrity, servanthood, and trust. ▪ Must be able to meet specific staff requirements outlined in Minnesota Statutes 245G.11 (including understanding of client rights). Reference: Sec. 245G.11 MN Statutes Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at a time.
