Schedule: 3x12 hour day shifts, weekdays with occasional weekends and rotating holidays

Highlights:

• Specialized abdominal transplant unit focusing on kidney, liver, and pancreas transplant patients
• Manageable patient ratio of 1:5 in a combined ICU/PCU environment (travelers care for PCU-level patients only)
• Epic electronic medical records system for streamlined documentation
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 22-bed unit with diverse patient population including transplant recovery, hepatology, and renal failure cases
• Float responsibilities may include units of equivalent or lower acuity within the organization

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1-2 years of Progressive Care Unit experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic charting system required
• Skills in telemetry monitoring, IV starts, central line management, blood product administration, and transplant care
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin protocols, and PICC line management
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
• Two professional references required (one must be from a manager or formal leadership role)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required

• Ohio fingerprinting process must be completed immediately upon contract signing
• Candidates within driving distance of Ohio must complete fingerprinting in-state as soon as possible
• Candidates at extreme distances will receive a fingerprinting packet to complete urgently
• Responsiveness and cooperation with credentialing process is essential to avoid delays
• Former employees must have been away from the facility for 6 months or more to be eligible
