Litigation Attorney

Frilot LLC is seeking an associate attorney with 3–5 years of litigation experience to join the firm's Medical Malpractice & Healthcare Litigation Practice Group in its New Orleans office. One of Frilot's largest practice groups, the Medical Malpractice & Healthcare team represents physicians, hospitals, healthcare systems, and other healthcare providers throughout Louisiana. The group handles matters from the preliminary evaluation of an adverse incident through the Medical Review Panel process, litigation, and trial. The Position The associate will be actively involved in matters throughout the litigation process, including the Medical Review Panel process, discovery, motion practice, case evaluation and strategy, depositions, preparation of experts and witnesses, and trial. The associate will work closely with experienced attorneys and clients to evaluate cases and develop effective medical and legal defenses. While collaboration is an important part of the practice, a strong interest in developing independent litigation and trial skills is essential. The successful candidate will have opportunities to assume increasing responsibility for matters as experience and capabilities develop. Qualifications Candidates should possess: Admission to the Louisiana State Bar and good standing. 3–5 years of litigation experience. Excellent analytical, research, and legal writing skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. The ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively. A strong interest in developing independent litigation and trial skills. Experience in medical malpractice, healthcare litigation, or professional liability is preferred but not required.
