Overview A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Attorney to join its Insurance Defense Practice Group in New Orleans, LA, focusing on Toxic Tort and Asbestos litigation. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex cases in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Manage a caseload involving toxic tort and asbestos claims within the insurance defense framework. Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs. Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and depositions. Analyze complex medical and technical records. Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients. Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting insurance defense. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the Louisiana State Bar and in good standing. 5+ years of litigation experience preferred; toxic tort/asbestos or insurance defense experience a plus. Strong analytical, research, and writing skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. High level of professionalism and ethical standards. Education & Certifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the Louisiana State Bar.
