Engineering Technician

Description:

• Supports engineering activities such as test and debug of servo drive and motor products.
• Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
• Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
• Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
• Uses test equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.
• Frequently interacts with peers and customers to exchange or present factual information.
• Dis-assemble and troubleshoot issues.
• Troubleshooting, any signs of damage, basic lab instrumentation oscilloscopes, connect product to test stand, monitor performance; Products are for 60V AC volt, high voltage
• Working in a New product development lab

Qualification:

• 2 year degree; Technical school work (up to 1 year)
• Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
• Testing and debugging skills
• Open to electrical or mechanical background with a production setting or in a development lab
