Accounts Receivable Specialist (AR | Credit & Collections) Employment Type - 2-3 Month Contract
Pay Range: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
Work Schedule: Onsite, Monday through Friday
Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI Overview

Keep the cash flowing and the customer relationships strong. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist , you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate collection activity records, following up on past-due accounts, and helping resolve payment issues efficiently and professionally. This position is ideal for someone who’s organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing customer communication with precise documentation and reporting.

Required Skills

• Experience in credit and collections / Accounts Receivable
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for customer outreach and follow-up
• High level of organization and attention to detail
• Ability and desire to multi-task and manage competing priorities
• Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality

Nice to Have Skills

• Knowledge of ERP systems
• Experience processing return credits
• Experience resolving dispute claims, short payments, and fines with customers
• Familiarity with referring accounts to collection agencies

Preferred Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent (required)
• Certifications and/or training in a related field (a plus)
• Previous AR experience preferred

Other Requirements

• Ability to maintain accurate accounting records, including document copying and filing
• Comfort communicating directly with customers to request payment and support timely resolution
