Japanese-English Transcriptionist for AI Training

Role Overview

Apply Japanese language expertise to help improve next-generation AI systems through accurate, high-quality linguistic work. This remote contract role focuses on producing and refining bilingual transcription materials that support how AI models learn, reason, and perform. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe audio and written materials between Japanese and English.
• Review and edit transcripts to preserve linguistic accuracy and contextual meaning.
• Provide linguistic feedback that improves transcription processes.
• Collaborate with remote team members to maintain project quality standards.
• Meet project deadlines and consistently deliver polished work.
• Manage multiple transcription assignments with close attention to detail.
• Communicate clearly with team members in writing and verbally.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native Japanese proficiency and a strong command of English.
• Experience in transcription, translation, or related language services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English.
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a remote team.
• Proficiency with transcription tools and digital collaboration platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with bilingual transcription projects.
• Familiarity with technical terminology used across different industries.
• Education or background in language studies, linguistics, or a related field.

Work Terms

• Remote contract engagement.

Compensation

• $65 to $98 per hour.
