The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Montague seeking Setup Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and stage equipment and materials according to production schedules.
- Perform mechanical and electrical setup of manufacturing machinery.
- Calibrate and test equipment to ensure proper functionality and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve setup-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize setup processes.
- Document setup procedures and equipment specifications.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to use various hand and power tools effectively
- Experience with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen).
- Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
- Familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and basic troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
- Forklift certification or experience operating similar industrial equipment.
