Litigation Attorney – Personal Injury
Location: Burbank, CA | $100,000–$200,000/year

Direct Counsel is representing a successful personal injury firm based in Burbank, CA, widely recognized for securing outstanding results for accident victims across California. The firm is actively seeking a driven and experienced Litigation Attorney to join its expanding Litigation Department.

Position Overview:

As a Litigation Associate , you’ll manage a caseload of personal injury matters from complaint through trial. The ideal candidate has 2–5+ years of PI litigation experience and thrives in a fast-paced, high-performing environment. This role demands strong legal writing, strategic litigation skills, and a client-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day case handling from complaint filing through trial

• Draft and review pleadings, discovery, motions, and settlement documents

• Make regular court appearances, including hearings and settlement conferences

• Conduct and defend depositions of parties, experts, and witnesses

• Communicate and negotiate with opposing counsel

• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and other settlement proceedings

• Collaborate with support staff to audit files, ensure deadlines are met, and prepare for trial

• Provide legal analysis and strategy recommendations to clients

• Play an active role in trial preparation and execution when necessary

Qualifications:

• Experience:

  • 1–5+ years of personal injury litigation experience required

  • Law and motion, discovery, and trial prep proficiency

• License: Active member in good standing with the California State Bar

• Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral advocacy

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage a heavy caseload

  • Strong legal research, analysis, and negotiation skills

• Attributes: Dependable, deadline-driven, and collaborative

 

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $100,000–$200,000/year (commensurate with experience)

• Bonus Compensation : Up to 5% of settled cases

• Schedule: Onsite, Monday–Friday | 8-hour shifts
