SSA Specialist

Our client is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented SSA Specialist to support their agency with accounting, administrative, data management, and consumer-related responsibilities. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, comfortable working with the public, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily accounting, administrative, and general office operations.
• Maintain and update the agency's consumer database to ensure information is accurate and current.
• Process, organize, and maintain paperwork, records, and transactions related to agency consumers.
• Perform accurate data entry and maintain organized electronic and physical files.
• Assist with general accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.
• Review documentation and information for completeness and accuracy.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with staff, consumers, and members of the public.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive consumer and agency information.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and other agency software to complete administrative and recordkeeping responsibilities.
• Assist with additional duties and projects as needed to support agency operations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in an office, administrative, accounting, or related support role preferred.
• Experience working with the public, customers, clients, or consumers.
• Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong typing and data-entry skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Intermediate-level Excel skills preferred.
• Ability to learn and effectively use accounting and database software.
• Experience with Sage is a plus; training will be provided.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
• Reliable, professional, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
