Work Environment\n

This role is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining strong client connections. You will work from home, interacting with clients through phone and video consultations. Occasional travel may be necessary for in-person meetings or assessments, ensuring a personal touch in establishing rapport and conducting assessments. Your primary working hours will fall between Monday and Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, although some evening or weekend hours may be required based on client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Master Social Worker, you will take on a variety of responsibilities, including:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients’ psychosocial needs, taking into account emotional, mental, and social contexts.

• Developing individualized care plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring that their specific goals and support preferences are met.
\n
• Providing counseling services, offering emotional support as clients navigate the complexities of addiction recovery.
\n
• Advocating for clients’ rights, facilitating access to critical community resources and services.
\n
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of professionals, including nurses and healthcare providers, to coordinate and enhance client care.

• Monitoring client progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting care plans as needed to address any new challenges or changes in circumstances.

• Facilitating discussions and resolutions among family members to improve communication and support networks for the client.
\n
• Educating clients and families about available resources, support groups, and community programs aimed at fostering social engagement.

• Documenting all interactions, assessments, and care plans accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain compliance and continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing substance use issues, including both adults and seniors facing unique challenges in recovery. Your role is to provide not only clinical support but also to foster a compassionate understanding of their journeys, addressing both their individual and familial struggles. You will be instrumental in helping clients to rebuild their lives by equipping them with the necessary tools and resources for long-term stability and well-being.

Qualifications\n

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid state licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).

• At least two years of relevant experience in social work, preferably within community settings focusing on addiction or mental health.

• In-depth understanding of social work principles, aging-related issues, and knowledge of community resources specific to recovery and rehabilitation.

• Exceptional assessment, counseling, and problem-solving abilities, with a keen insight into the needs of diverse clientele.

Preferred Experience\n

Although not mandatory, experience working within a detox or addiction recovery setting will be highly regarded. Additional experience in family counseling, crisis intervention, or geriatric care may enhance your candidacy.
