Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 17 weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 12 hours (3 PM - 3 AM) Experience: Minimum 2 years, must have 5+ years of experience and at least 1 travel assignment. License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS Must-Have: MEDITECH experience Description: This position requires adherence to the 75-mile radius rule. The driver's license address must be provided for consideration. All travelers must possess TNCC certification. The unit has a six-bed behavioral lockdown area managed by psychiatric staff. On average, the facility sees approximately 180-200 patient visits per day. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4. Central monitoring tech is available for tele/monitoring needs. Respiratory therapists are available 24/7 and manage ventilated patients. Pharmacy services are available on campus 24/7. Nurses are responsible for their own lab draws and start intravenous access. Patient care includes a wide range of diagnoses, from pediatrics to geriatrics. Trauma cases are managed with specific protocols; however, some traumas are transferred to other facilities. No burn cases are kept in this facility. This facility is designated as a CVA center. The expectation is to complete orientation during the first week of employment. Caribbean blue scrubs are required for this position. There is a cancellation policy in place that states 12 hours every two weeks.
