Gas Technician

Job Description Job Description As a Gas Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and installing residential and commercial gas systems while ensuring the highest level of safety and code compliance. Responsibilities Include: Diagnose and locate natural gas leaks using advanced leak detection equipment Repair and replace gas piping systems Install and service earthquake seismic gas shut-off valves Perform pressure testing and gas system inspections Troubleshoot gas appliance and gas supply issues Conduct retrofit inspections and code compliance evaluations Educate customers on repair options and safety concerns Complete service reports and documentation accurately Follow all safety procedures, regulations, and company standards Deliver a professional 5-star customer experience Qualifications Minimum 3 years of field experience in gas service, plumbing, utility work, or related trades Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Experience working with natural gas systems preferred Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field Full-time availability Willingness to participate in rotating weekend and after-hours on-call schedule Valid California Driver's License Must meet company vehicle insurance requirements Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening DMV driving record required at interview Willingness to comply with company health and safety requirements Preferred Experience Gas leak detection Gas line installation and replacement Earthquake valve installations Pressure testing Utility gas service work Plumbing service experience Retrofit inspections Residential and commercial gas systems Why Work for Safe Gas Services?
