About the Role

The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Strategic Philanthropy to join its dynamic and results-oriented advancement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the organization's individual giving strategy, securing and growing major philanthropic investments, and establishing ambitious fundraising goals. This role requires a deeply experienced and creative fundraiser with a proven track record in developing donor strategies, particularly in a complex, donor-centered environment. The AVP will work closely with senior leadership to drive the philanthropic support of the institution, utilizing data analytics to identify trends and formulate strategies, and will be expected to maintain a portfolio of high-level prospects. Applicants for the AVP of Strategic Philanthropy position at the company should have a master's degree and at least 10 years of fundraising experience, with a strong emphasis on leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage a team. The role demands a candidate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work with diverse groups, and a commitment to the mission of the institution. Experience in capital campaigns, familiarity with fundraising software, and a background in higher education philanthropy are highly desirable. The AVP will also be involved in the development and execution of the university's overall fundraising strategy, and must be adept at building and maintaining relationships with high-capacity donors and prospects.
