Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving kindergarten through second-grade students with Multiple Disabilities (MD). This position involves covering a 12-week maternity leave, beginning September 16, 2026, and offers a meaningful chance to impact the lives of young learners at a pivotal stage.
As a dedicated educator in this role, you'll foster a supportive, structured environment that encourages growth and progress for each student. You'll implement individualized lesson plans and ensure all accommodations are met, enabling every child to thrive academically and socially throughout your assignment.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience providing instruction and support for students with Multiple Disabilities (MD), preferably in K-2 settings
- Skilled at creating and delivering modified curriculum lesson plans tailored to individual educational needs
- Strong classroom management abilities, with emphasis on structure and safety
- Able to collaborate with support staff, therapists, and families to meet students’ holistic needs
- Organized, adaptable, and committed to maintaining continuity and growth during short-term assignments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily classroom operations for K-2 students with Multiple Disabilities (MD)
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs), modifications, and accommodations
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere by providing differentiated instruction and positive behavioral supports
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate, up-to-date records
- Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams
