Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Special Education Teacher (ASD)

Location: Spring Lake Park, MN
School: Park Terrace Elementary
Position Type: Part-Time (.4 FTE)
School Year: 2026–2027
Assignment Dates: September 1, 2026 – June 4, 2027

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), though applicants with other special education licensures are encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate will provide direct support and specialized instruction in a classroom setting and be available to work on-site for a partial day, five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students receiving special education services.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, administrators, and families to support student success.
• Collect and analyze student progress data to guide instruction and interventions.
• Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Participate in IEP meetings and other team collaboration opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid Minnesota Special Education teaching license.
• ASD teaching experience preferred.
• Other special education licensures will be considered.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to supporting diverse learners and fostering student growth.

Schedule

• .4 FTE position
• On-site at Park Terrace Elementary
• Partial-day schedule, five days per week
• September 1, 2026 – June 4, 2027
