Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a contract position for a partial-day, on-site commitment, working in an elementary school setting with students requiring special education support. The role focuses on providing services in line with special education goals and would be ideal for someone passionate about working with students on the autism spectrum, though candidates with other special education licensure will also be considered.

This position runs from September 1, 2026, to June 4, 2027, with a schedule of five days per week for a portion of each day (.4 FTE). You’ll be part of a dedicated team that values collaboration, student-centered teaching, and meaningful engagement with learners.

What We’re Looking For:

• Active Special Education teaching license; other relevant licensure accepted
• Experience or strong interest in working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), preferred
• Passion for fostering academic growth and social success in diverse learner populations
• Strong classroom management skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to develop, implement, and track individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Effective communication with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and classroom support to students with special education needs
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to design effective learning environments
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings
• Adapt lessons and strategies to meet the unique needs of each student
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere
