Accounts Payable Clerk - Business Office

Job Description The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. (RFMH) has an immediate full‑time opening for an Accounts Payable Clerk at our Nathan Kline Institute location in Orangeburg, New York. Responsibilities Perform all accounts payable duties Process and review all RFMH Purchase Orders for payment Maintain inventory records Manage petty cash accounts Other accounts payable duties as assigned Qualifications The candidate must have a minimum of two years' experience performing account payable duties or an associate's degree in accounting and have good interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite of products is a must. A self‑starter who will initiate and independently follow‑through with assignments is a must. The candidate also must possess strong organizational skills; maintain confidentiality of work materials, detail oriented, dependable and a team player. Education Associate degree a plus. Background Investigation / Justice Center Review Requirements Prospective appointees will be checked against: 1) the Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs (eligible candidates not listed). 2) the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR) (eligible candidates not listed).
