Supply Base Management SpecialistCompany:The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Supply Base Management Specialist 3/4 to join our Work Movement team in Renton/Everett, WA.The selected candidate will be working in a very dynamic, fast-paced environment while learning new skills, solving challenging problems, and experiencing opportunities to grow in the SC organization. This position is supplier facing and will be responsible for managing the relationship with external suppliers and project managing all aspects of their performance.As an integral member of the Work Movement team, the Project Manager will provide support to external suppliers and internal organizations through their supply chain knowledge, with a focus on development programs, customer introductions, and certification. This role requires blending strategic thinking with on-the-ground execution, enabling the organizations to efficiently and effectively achieve development program milestones. The Statement of Work includes standard Supply Chain Management functions, data analysis, forecasting, supply and/or demand troubleshooting, and additional duties as assigned. Our team is currently hiring for several Mid-Level or Senior Supply Base Management Specialist.Position Responsibilities:Utilizes BCA Work Movement Management standard processes to independently lead and be accountable for high-risk Work Movement projects to ensure perfect quality and on-time transferred partsLeads the Execution of High-Risk Work Movement Projects, identifies key project stakeholders, develops and maintains project implementation plan and ensures engagement and progress to plan by leading reoccurring Performance to Plan reviews both internally and externally with assigned suppliersLeads on-site supplier engagements to identify/manage risks early, develop mitigation strategies and track risk mitigation actions to closure to ensure parts are produced with perfect quality on-timeLeads supplier deep dives and Integrated Risk Reviews (IRR) to understand a Suppliers capabilities in project management, staffing, training, capacity, planning/schedules, quality and inventory mitigationsServes as a mentor and coach to existing Work Movement TeamBuilds trust across organizations and communicates effectively to develop partnerships with key stakeholders, customers and leadershipHas advanced proficiency in Project Management methodologies and Risk ManagementCollaborates with suppliers to create and track inventory cutover plans and safety stock mitigation plans ensuring any part shortage risk to AP programs is mitigated and tracked to closureSkilled in utilizing Microsoft products and updating standard project artifacts and reports on project progress to Executive leadership and customers as requiredActs as primary point of contact for suppliers, customers and programs in the lens of the Work Movement Project.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):3+ years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services3+ years of experience in a role that required teaming and collaboration skills and ability to work well with a geographically dispersed cross-functional and matrix team3+ years of experience utilizing scheduling systems and tools to create and maintain production schedules3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and WordAbility to travel domestically and internationallyPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree1+ years of experience in Supplier Quality1+ years of experience working in Manufacturing OperationsProject Management Certification5+ or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceConflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment processDrug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing formarijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
