Mark Henry is a New York fine jewelry house dedicated to creating exceptional jewelry centered around some of the world's rarest natural gemstones—including Brazilian alexandrite, Paraíba tourmaline, Kashmir sapphire, and other extraordinary treasures.

Every piece we create represents an uncompromising commitment to craftsmanship, precision, and detail. We're seeking a Jewelry Production Specialist who shares that philosophy and will become a trusted steward of our jewelry and gemstone operations.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands how fine jewelry is made and takes pride in getting every detail right.

The Role:

Based in our New York headquarters, you'll play a critical role in supporting the production of our collections and bespoke commissions.

You'll work directly with our founders, production team, and manufacturing partners, preparing gemstones for production, coordinating with workshops, and ensuring every piece is executed to the highest standard.

Because you'll be entrusted with rare gemstones and significant inventory, integrity, discretion, and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Jewelry Production

• Sort, organize, and prepare loose gemstones for production.
\n
• Match gemstones by color, size, cut, and overall appearance.
\n
• Allocate and bag gemstones for individual production jobs.
\n
• Prepare production packets for manufacturing partners.
\n
• Track jewelry through each stage of production.
\n
• Workshop Coordination
\n
• Communicate daily with domestic and international workshops.
\n
• Review production instructions and answer workshop questions.
\n
• Follow up on production timelines and delivery schedules.
\n
• Coordinate repairs, modifications, and remakes.
\n
• Ensure manufacturing specifications are clearly understood before production begins.
\n

Technical Production Support:

• Apply your knowledge of jewelry construction to identify potential manufacturing issues before production.
\n
• Communicate directly with setters, polishers, CAD teams, and master jewelers using proper jewelry terminology.
\n
• Review finished pieces for accuracy before quality control.
\n
• Assist with production problem-solving when technical issues arise.
\n

Inventory & Organization:

• Maintain meticulous organization of loose gemstones, finished jewelry, and work-in-progress inventory.
\n
• Ensure all gemstones are properly tracked throughout production.
\n
• Assist with inventory reconciliation and internal record keeping.
\n
• Handle high-value gemstones and finished jewelry with exceptional care and accountability.
\n

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in fine jewelry production, manufacturing, or on the bench.
\n
• Strong understanding of jewelry construction and manufacturing techniques.
\n
• Experience handling diamonds and natural colored gemstones.
\n
• Ability to confidently match gemstones by color, quality, and size.
\n
• Comfortable communicating directly with jewelry workshops and manufacturers.
\n
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
\n
• Highly trustworthy with experience handling valuable inventory.
\n
• Experience with production software or ERP systems is a plus.
\n
