Transform the everyday with us We are looking for a Buyer to support our Manufacturing Facility in Grand Prairie, TX. Our growing manufacturing facility produces high-quality, make-to-order power distribution equipment. Our processes include material handling, metal fabrication, painting, final assembly, and testing. You’ll make a difference by: Leads MRP via SAP and places Purchase Orders with internal and external vendors Reviews SAP master data including minimum order quantities, safety stocks, lead times, purchasing info records and provides forecasting as needed Evaluates the current supply chain and improves it by working with our corporate resources Analyzes large amounts of data to develop sourcing strategies by component and supplier Is responsible for meeting inventory targets, delivery reliability and cost saving initiatives for the site GRIR (good receipts/invoice receipts) discrepancies and late purchase order processing Works closely with production, planning and customer service to fulfill customer requirements You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: BS/BA preferred but will consider candidates with experience in lieu of a degree. If a degree is in process, it will also be considered 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a buyer role Experience in fast‑paced business Hands‑on knowledge of SAP, Excel and Microsoft Office Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer‑sponsored work authorization now or in the future Preferred Qualifications: Lean Manufacturing experience Microsoft Access Excel Macros APICS CSCP and/or CPIM About Siemens: We are a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare.
