Manufacturing Buyer

Location: Dallas, TX
Department: Supply Chain / Procurement
Reports To: Procurement Manager

Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Buyer to join our procurement team. This role is responsible for supporting the purchasing of materials, components, and services necessary to meet production schedules and maintain optimal inventory levels. Key Responsibilities
• Assist in sourcing and purchasing raw materials, components, and supplies for manufacturing operations
• Create and manage purchase orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of materials
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with planning/production teams to prevent shortages or excess stock
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and follow up on order status, delivery schedules, and discrepancies
• Support cost control initiatives by comparing supplier pricing and identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Assist with vendor selection, onboarding, and performance tracking
• Track and resolve issues related to order fulfillment, quality, or delivery delays
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation in ERP systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and quality

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 0–2 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or manufacturing (internships count)
• Basic understanding of procurement or supply chain principles preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required); experience with ERP systems is a plus
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
