Account Services Representative

IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening for an Account Service Representative in our Kansas City, Missouri office. The role operates on a hybrid schedule – office Monday through Wednesday and remote Thursday and Friday. This position supports the collection of company‑wide receivables totaling $531million annually. Key Responsibilities Perform account reconciliation and maintain billing records. Monitor customer and agency inquiries, resolving issues efficiently. Handle internal collection letters, emails, and calls. Identify, research, and resolve outstanding direct bills, agency account balances, and discrepancies with insureds, agents, outside collection agencies, and law firms. Handle inbound and outbound phone calls to resolve account inquiries, provide accurate information, and process payments. Perform other ad‑hoc duties as assigned. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent with at least three years of financial or accounts‑receivable experience, preferably in insurance, banking, or related industries. Experience with customer service, accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing and invoicing. Comfortable making outbound calls and working on the phone. Experience with Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Detail‑oriented, adaptable to change, and able to work within a team. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field. Bilingual (fluent in Spanish). Accounting experience in the insurance industry.
