Industrial Sewing Machine Operator

AXL Advanced is seeking experienced industrial seamstresses to produce tactical and military apparel products either at their facility or in their own home workspace.

Candidates without experience using industrial sewing machines to handle thick and heavy materials will not be considered.

This is not a fully remote position!

Although most work is performed at home, candidates must reside within a 20-mile radius of Wylie, Texas 75098 and have reliable transportation. AXL Advanced is looking for skilled industrial seamstresses to manufacture tactical and military apparel products either at their facility or in their own home workspace.

Income

• Pay per product (not hourly)
• Payment for each completed and inspected product.
• Hourly income equivalent to approximately $12$15+, depending on productivity, skill, and quality of work.
• Income varies based on the complexity of each product.
• Higher productivity equals higher income.

Machine Requirements

• Candidates must have experience using industrial sewing machines with walking foot capabilities (Walking Foot Industrial Sewing Machine) that can handle multiple layers of thick and heavy materials, equivalent to JUKI DNU-1541S with needle positioner.
• Candidates must purchase, rent, or lease their own sewing machine. The company does not provide sewing machines. We can recommend several local Dallas area suppliers for suitable purchases or rentals.

Responsibilities

• Receive raw materials and production orders.
• Visit the companys facility every 12 weeks to receive or deliver orders.
• Assemble textile components into finished products.
• Maintain consistent production quality.
• Complete orders on time.
• Inspect product quality and identify sewing errors.
• Repair sewing errors as needed.
• Perform daily basic maintenance on sewing machines.
• Maintain professional communication about production progress and schedules.

Required Experience

• Experience using industrial sewing machines with walking foot.
• Experience sewing thick and heavy materials.
• Experience working in a production timeline.
• Focus on quality and precision in work.
• Ability to work independently at home.

Preferred Experience (Great Advantage)

• Experience sewing tactical gear.
• Experience sewing military nylon products.
• Experience sewing load-bearing equipment.
• Pattern drafting, alteration.
• CAD pattern design.
• Experience working with leather.
• Knowledge of composite materials.
• Understanding of tactical gear, military equipment, MILSIM, Airsoft, or related fields.
