Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Current licensure and certification as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Michigan
• Previous experience working within school settings is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and compliance
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student development
• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse students’ needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted occupational therapy services to students with a range of needs as outlined in their IEPs
• Conduct assessments to determine students’ functional levels and recommend appropriate interventions
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams—including educators and speech/language or physical therapists—to ensure a cohesive approach to student care
• Develop and monitor individualized goals, then document progress and maintain accurate therapy records
• Support teachers by recommending strategies and accommodations for students within the classroom environment
• Attend and participate in IEP meetings as needed
