Business Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Business Analyst to support the Product Owner of the MyBenefits Employee Portal. This individual will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, helping translate business needs into actionable user stories and ensuring successful delivery of business-focused enhancements.

This is a true Business Analyst position focused on business processes, requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and Agile delivery support. Technical development, coding, and system administration experience are not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner closely with the Product Owner to support the ongoing enhancement and delivery of the MyBenefits Employee Portal.

• Facilitate meetings, workshops, and working sessions with business stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs).

• Gather, document, and refine business requirements into clear, actionable outcomes.

• Create high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria for business features.

• Serve as a liaison between business teams and developers, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and accurately translated.

• Coordinate and support business testing activities, including test planning, execution, and validation of requirements.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including:

○ Backlog Refinement

○ Sprint Planning

○ Program Increment (PI) Planning

○ Reviews and Retrospectives

• Track requirements, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Support project planning and prioritization efforts while maintaining strong stakeholder communication throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Skills and Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting business-focused initiatives.

• Exceptional organization, prioritization, and project coordination skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with fluent English proficiency.

• Proven experience facilitating stakeholder meetings and requirements gathering sessions.

• Experience translating business requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced Agile environment.

• Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business testing activities.

Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills across business and technical teams. • Experience within the insurance industry, particularly:

○ Absence Management

○ Employee Benefits

• Experience supporting customer-facing or employee-facing digital portals.

Prior experience working within a SAFe Agile environment and participating in Program Increment (PI) Planning.
