Work Environment

As a key member of our on-site rehabilitation facility, you will enjoy a supportive and dynamic work environment where teamwork thrives. Operating Monday through Friday, you will have the flexibility to select from two shift options: either 7 am to 3:30 pm, or 8 am to 4 pm. This structured schedule allows you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while fully dedicating your expertise to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, assessing their physical condition and establishing accurate treatment goals.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans—leveraging advanced therapeutic modalities and techniques—to foster optimal recovery for each patient.
• Provide hands-on therapy in our facility as well as at patients' homes, tailoring your approach to the specific context of each patient's living environment.
• Engage in collaborative discussions with a multidisciplinary team—including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff—to coordinate comprehensive patient care and enhance treatment effectiveness.
• Support patients by effectively educating them on their rehabilitation programs, encouraging self-management, and fostering motivation throughout their recovery process.
• Constantly monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure alignment with clinical objectives and maximization of patient outcomes.
• Meet established productivity benchmarks by consistently achieving utilization goals and contributing to the center's overall performance metrics.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a varied patient population that includes adults undergoing recovery from orthopedic surgeries, traumatic injuries, and chronic conditions. You will also work with pediatric patients and those requiring neurologic and sports rehabilitation, showcasing your versatility and commitment to providing targeted care across different ages and conditions.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active State License in Physical Therapy, demonstrating compliance with Virginia's licensure requirements.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in orthopedic settings, reflecting comprehensive knowledge and practical application of physical therapy interventions.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, ensuring readiness to respond to emergencies.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, essential for effective patient interactions and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Proficiency in managing electronic medical records and basic computer applications, facilitating organized documentation and patient tracking.

Preferred Experience

Experience in specialized techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic modalities, and exercise prescription is highly desirable. Proficiency in engaging with diverse patient demographics and a proven track record of improved patient outcomes will set you apart as a candidate.

Compensation and Benefits
