Description

• Conduct thorough assessments across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized tests and observational methods.
• Create customized treatment strategies that cater to immediate objectives as well as overarching goals in communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Implement one-on-one speech therapy techniques targeting communication, language clarity, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing restoration.
• Engage with a multi-disciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure an integrated approach to care.
• Provide educational resources for patients and families to support ongoing progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring seamless care throughout the recovery process.
• Document all patient interactions accurately and promptly, adhering to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaborative peer engagement.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA desired.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be completed within 30 days of employment.
