- Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups utilizing standardized assessments and keen observational skills.
- Design individualized treatment strategies targeting both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
- Deliver focused speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language fluency, voice quality, and swallowing functions.
- Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Provide educational resources and support for patients and families to foster progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, maintaining a cohesive care experience throughout treatment.
- Ensure precise and timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational policies.
- Engage in professional development and stay informed about advancements in the speech-language field through ongoing education and peer engagement.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not ASHA-certified yet.
- Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic practices across all age groups, coupled with a strong understanding of developmental and acquired communication disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to tailor therapy techniques to suit various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
