Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups utilizing standardized assessments and keen observational skills.
• Design individualized treatment strategies targeting both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver focused speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language fluency, voice quality, and swallowing functions.
• Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to ensure a holistic approach to care.
• Provide educational resources and support for patients and families to foster progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, maintaining a cohesive care experience throughout treatment.
• Ensure precise and timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational policies.
• Engage in professional development and stay informed about advancements in the speech-language field through ongoing education and peer engagement.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not ASHA-certified yet.

Certifications

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
