Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients of all ages using standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment protocols that focus on immediate objectives, as well as longer-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Administer individualized speech therapy interventions concentrated on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop unified care strategies.
• Provide educational resources for patients and their families to support progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Assist with occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring smooth continuity of care.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in alignment with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, staying informed on the latest advancements in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly desirable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of employment.
