Looking for a hands-on accounting role where you can make an immediate impact? PEG Staffing & Recruiting is partnering with a stable, growing technology company in St. Louis to hire a Full Charge Bookkeeper . This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the expectation of becoming a permanent employee for the right person.
You'll work directly with company leadership, own the day-to-day accounting function, and play a key role in supporting multiple areas of the business. What You'll Do- Manage full cycle accounting, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Maintain the general ledger, account reconciliations, journal entries, and accrual-based accounting
- Prepare aging reports and support month-end activities
- Process payroll using ADP
- Partner with the company's external CPA on financial reporting, month-end close, and tax support
- Support accounting for multiple business units, including sales, service, and inventory
- Assist with employee onboarding, basic HR administration, and other operational projects as needed
- 5+ years of full cycle bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliations
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs and PivotTables
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Experience in a small business environment
- ADP payroll experience
- Microsoft Access experience
