Accountant Assistant

Devereux & Company is seeking an entry level assistant to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn new skills and assist various team members with tasks and projects as well as daily tasks of your own. We are looking for a friendly, customer focused person to help to assist the accountants and clients. In addition to a positive attitude and willingness to pitch in whenever needed, the perfect candidate will have experience with multiple computer programs and will have the ability to meticulously follow processes to ensure the highest quality output for our customers. Role and Responsibilities Assists with processing tax returns, financial statements and compliance reports in a timely manner while maintaining complete accuracy Assisting accountants with complex tasks to ease their workflow Manage projects and ensuring timely execution Provides exceptional customer service through verbal, written and in personal interactions with clients Provides support entering, formatting, and printing information; organizing work, relaying messages, scheduling Full time (40+ Hours) January thru April with the possibility of overtime required Part time (16-32 hours weekly) May thru December Experience, Qualifications and Education College degree preferred; Accounting background is a plus Should provide high attention to detail without possibility of inaccuracies Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks given by multiple sources Problem solving Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), ability to familiarize yourself with new software quickly Should be organized, able to work with minimal supervision Must have strong communication skills both written and verbal #J-18808-Ljbffr Devereux and Company
