Payroll Administrator

Brief Description This is an on-site position in Des Moines, IA. Analyzes, inputs and prepares payroll data via automated system to produce accurate and timely payroll (weekly & bi-weekly). Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws. Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) for management. Maintains current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws. Stays current on payroll systems to achieve alignment with HR benefits and other related items. Provides effective accounting support for payroll related matters. Facilitates management and employee understanding of payroll procedures. Approving invoices for payment. Assists in organizational training and development efforts. Performs other related duties as required and assigned. Brief Description This is an on-site position in Des Moines, IA. Assists in organizational training and development efforts. Helps monitor performance appraisal process. Performs other related duties as required and assigned. Requirements Knowledge and Skills: Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of payroll, effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and computer proficiency. Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Education And Work Experience An Associate’s Degree and/or Bachelor’s Degree, or Three to Five years’ experience in Payroll. Any similar combination of education and experience. Summary Provide payroll support for all levels of the organization. Additionally, this position would assist with other HR projects as necessary.
