IT Support Specialist

Apply hands-on IT support expertise to help improve next-generation AI systems through accurate, real-world troubleshooting input and feedback. This remote contract role focuses on translating practical support knowledge into detailed scenarios, documentation, and evaluations. Prior AI experience is not required. Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve common hardware and software issues in Windows, Mac, and Linux environments.
- Use TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN knowledge to investigate and resolve connectivity and configuration issues.
- Document incident details, troubleshooting steps, root causes, and resolutions clearly in ITSM or similar ticketing systems.
- Guide non-technical users with empathetic, clear, step-by-step technical communication.
- Create detailed, scenario-based examples, process documentation, and knowledge-base content that reflect IT support best practices.
- Provide well-documented input and feedback to support continuous improvement of AI training materials.
- Collaborate asynchronously in a remote setting and deliver high-quality written and verbal feedback.
- At least 3 years of Tier 2 or Tier 3 IT support experience across varied operating system and network environments.
- Strong hardware, software, and networking troubleshooting skills, including root cause analysis.
- Experience documenting incidents and resolutions in ITSM or comparable ticketing platforms.
- Proficiency supporting Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for assisting non-technical end users.
- Experience contributing to technical process documentation and knowledge bases.
- Proactive, detail-oriented approach and comfort working independently in a remote project engagement.
- CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, and ITIL Foundation certifications are beneficial.
- Remote contract engagement.
- $30 to $55 per hour.
