Description:
is hiring an Accounting Analyst for its Greater Houston operations. This role is an important part of the finance and supply chain accounting team, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records across cash applications, inventory, general ledger activity, and accounts payable and receivable processes.

The Accounting Analyst will support the organization’s energy trading and logistics operations by ensuring accurate reporting, timely reconciliations, and proper financial documentation within ERP systems. This role requires strong analytical ability and attention to detail, particularly in handling high-volume transactional data.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining and updating inventory records including in-transit, blending, and bookout activities
• Performing inventory reconciliation between internal systems and external statements
• Assisting in general ledger reconciliations for supply and trading operations
• Reviewing accounts payable and accounts receivable aging reports on a weekly and monthly basis
• Managing ethanol purchase entries and related documentation in financial systems
• Preparing and posting journal entries to support financial reporting accuracy
• Assisting in reporting comparisons and variance analysis for management review
• Supporting cash application and transactional accounting processes
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance

The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced energy industry environment. Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Dynamics are essential, while experience with Right Angle or similar ETRM systems is highly preferred.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 0–2 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
