Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct crisis assessments and interventions for individuals experiencing acute mental health emergencies, employing effective and compassionate approaches.

• Provide immediate, empathetic counseling to clients who seek assistance for their emotional challenges, ensuring they feel heard and supported.

• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary to ensure client safety during critical situations.

• Deliver follow-up care and make recommendations for ongoing support, enabling clients to develop coping strategies and access further resources.

• Utilize crisis intervention strategies and de-escalation techniques to effectively manage difficult situations in virtual environments.

• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance crisis counseling skills, incorporating best practices and innovative strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse population, including adults dealing with anxiety, mood disorders, PTSD, and those affected by addiction. Our team places a strong emphasis on supporting the emotional and psychological needs of our older clients, particularly in dealing with aging-related issues and mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license to practice in New York State.
