Job Summary:To apply prescribed ultrasonography for diagnosis in accordance with policy and procedure,Practicing independent good judgment and initiative in the utilization of the ultrasound equipment.To apply patient care, communicating the procedure performed, lessening apprehension and inAccordance with the hospital’s Patient Rights Policies. Has knowledge of the needs of patientsAccording to their age group and the ability to modify care according to patient’s age.Job Responsibilities:Performs and documents patient and family education activities including assessing, performing and documentingProvides age specific care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric population.Support Patient’s rights and responsibilities, including respect of cultural and religious diversityEnsure appropriate consent forms are signed by the patient or responsible party for invasive proceduresReview the medical record for patient history acquiring pertinent clinical informationProficiently operate all functions of US equipmentSelect the proper transducer(s) for examination(s) being performedAdjust Doppler/color Doppler controls to optimize display of dataEducation Requirements and Other Requirements:Education Level: High school diploma or equivalentCertification / Licensure: A.R.R.T. registered preferredR.D.M.S. certified or registry eligibleCurrent BLS: RequiredExperience Requirements: #J-18808-Ljbffr
