Job Description
Surgical Services - Sterile Processing Tech

Schedule

Night 3x12-Hour shifts (18:00 - 06:30) Friday-Sunday, with occasional scheduled Holidays. May be required to float to other locations.

Assignment Details

3+ years of experience in a similar facility is required.

Requirements

• Experience in decontamination of various items including surgical instruments.
• Proficient in assembly of instruments across different service lines, including trauma and loaners.
• Knowledge of sterilization processes, including sterrad and steam.
• Experience with high-level disinfection (HLD) and scopes.
• Ability to manage sterile storage.
• Experience as an OR liaison.
• Familiarity with the Censitrac tracking system.
• Certification from CBSPD or CRCST (through HSPA) is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure thorough decontamination of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Assemble and package instruments for sterilization.
• Execute sterilization processes effectively and accurately.
• Maintain proper sterile storage practices.
• Collaborate with OR staff to ensure efficient instrument availability.
• Track and manage materials using the Censitrac system.
