About the Role
The Company is in search of a Controller / VP of Finance with a strong background in government contracting and financial analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the finance organization and maintaining the business processes and infrastructure to support the company's growth. This includes overseeing all financial functions such as accounting, finance, tax, treasury, HR, benefits, insurance, and payroll. The role also involves supporting the CEO, Board, and senior management in strategic and financial goal achievement, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and managing the company's government-contracting accounting infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' financial experience, with a focus on government-contract accounting, DCAA compliance, and a background in a private equity-backed company. Key responsibilities for the Controller / VP of Finance at the company include reinforcing a metrics-based culture, ensuring transparency and business clarity, and developing and implementing financial systems and procedures. The role requires a leader with a proven track record in financial operations, strong leadership and people management skills, and the ability to manage an information-driven business. The candidate should be data-driven, intellectually curious, and an excellent communicator. A BS in accounting or finance is required, with a CPA and MBA being preferred. The ideal candidate will also have experience in integrating financial systems with CRM systems and will be characterized by outstanding leadership, an equity mindset, maturity, independence, and a focus on execution.
