Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individual therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to the unique needs of hospice patients.

• Facilitate couples and family therapy, focusing on improving communication and support systems for patients and their loved ones.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine emotional wellness, including evaluating mood, behavior, and cognitive functioning.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including medical and wellness staff.

• Participate in training and developmental activities aimed at enhancing staff capabilities and building a robust therapeutic community.

• Work collaboratively with the TEAP Specialist to provide short-term counseling and support for patients in need of immediate interventions.

You will focus on clients entering hospice care, a sensitive but fulfilling area in social work where understanding grief and facilitating end-of-life planning and support is crucial. The patients you will work with often face various emotional challenges, and your role will be pivotal in helping them navigate these issues, ensuring they experience dignity and support during their transition.

Qualifications\n

• Current Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) credential in Washington State.

• A Master's Degree in Social Work or a closely related field is required.

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in a mental health or clinical setting.

• Availability to work up to 20 hours per week, providing flexibility in your schedule to meet the needs of your clients.

• A valid social work licensure that is free from probation or suspension.
