Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. Two unique positions are available at the elementary and middle school levels near Peoria, AZ, offering a chance to make a real difference in students’ lives. Enjoy 37.5 hours per week with regular daytime, Monday to Friday schedules, and experienced support in the classroom.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching license (Arizona)
• Current IVP fingerprint clearance card
• Experience with self-contained special education settings preferred
• Strong classroom management and collaborative skills
• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development

Assignment Details & Responsibilities:

Position 1: K-1 ASD Self-Contained

• Teach and support young learners with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
• Partner with two dedicated paraprofessionals in the classroom
• Foster a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment
• Teacher hours: 7:15am – 3:15pm (students: 7:45am – 2:45pm)
• Wednesdays: students dismissed at 12:45pm; attend weekly professional development afterward

Position 2: 7th-8th Grade Cross-Categorical Self-Contained

• Provide specialized instruction for middle schoolers across a range of needs
• Adapt curriculum and teaching approaches to individual student goals
• Teacher hours: 8:15am – 4:25pm (students: 8:45am – 3:55pm)
• Wednesdays: students dismissed at 1:55pm; follow-up PD session each week
