Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a lasting impact on students’ lives in the Phoenix area with contract opportunities for two Special Education Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year. These positions offer the chance to guide exceptional students from July 30, 2026, through May 19, 2027.

Two roles are available:

Position 1:

• Grade level: Kindergarten–1st Grade
• ASD self-contained classroom
• Supported by two paraprofessionals
• Student hours: 7:45am – 2:45pm
• Teacher hours: 7:15am – 3:15pm
• Wednesdays: 12:45pm student dismissal; professional development afterward

Position 2:

• Grade level: 7th–8th Grade
• Cross-categorical self-contained classroom
• Student hours: 8:45am – 3:55pm
• Teacher hours: 8:15am – 4:25pm
• Wednesdays: 1:55pm student dismissal; professional development afterward

Qualifications:

• Active Special Education teaching license required
• IVP fingerprint clearance card needed
• Previous experience in special education settings preferred
• Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
• Strong communication and adaptability skills

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized educational plans
• Foster a safe, structured classroom atmosphere
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, other educators, and families
• Track student progress and document outcomes
• Participate in weekly professional development sessions
• Provide behavior management and differentiated instruction

In this contract W2 role, you'll work Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Compensation ranges from $40 to $45 per hour, based on relevant experience. Comprehensive healthcare benefits are available, and you will have the support of a dedicated recruiter throughout your assignment.
