Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

You'll be on-site, shaping the lives of students across a variety of programs: from Inclusion/SUCCESS classrooms and Practical Skills instruction to the CBT Life Skills curriculum, the STRIVE autism program, and self-contained environments. Your expertise supporting students with emotional and behavioral needs will be highly valued, and you'll play a key role in the development and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs).

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Arizona secondary teaching license (required)
• Active K-12 Special Education Certificate (required)
• Current IVP fingerprint clearance card (required)
• Experience in high school special education settings, including emotional disabilities and behavior support
• Skilled in developing, writing, and implementing IEPs
• Background working with students from varied backgrounds and learning styles
• Comfort and enthusiasm for on-site collaboration within a school community
• Required to attend CIE training July 21-24 (prior to the school year)

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver instruction across multiple special education programs, including life and practical skills, autism support, and behavioral/self-contained classrooms
• Provide individualized interventions and positive behavioral support
• Collaborate with general education staff, administrators, families, and support services to promote student success
• Regularly review and update IEP documentation in accordance with student progress and state requirements
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment for all learners
