Talent Acquisition Specialist

Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including intake meetings, sourcing, candidate screening, interview coordination, offer negotiation, and onboarding transition. Partner directly with Finance executives, senior leaders, Controllers, Accounting leaders, and hiring managers to understand organizational priorities, technical requirements, team structures, and long-term hiring needs. Recruit for a broad range of Accounting and Finance positions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger Accounting, Financial Reporting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Audit, Corporate Finance, and Accounting and Finance leadership. Develop customized recruiting strategies for specialized, difficult-to-fill, and leadership-level Accounting and Finance searches. Build a strong understanding of each position's technical requirements, including accounting standards, financial systems, reporting responsibilities, certifications, and industry-specific experience. Serve as a trusted talent advisor by providing hiring managers with market intelligence, candidate availability, compensation insights, and recommendations throughout the search process. Build and maintain strong pipelines of Accounting and Finance professionals through direct sourcing, networking, referrals, professional associations, and external recruiting platforms. Conduct detailed candidate evaluations focused on relevant Accounting and Finance experience, technical capabilities, systems knowledge, professional credentials, communication skills, and overall fit. Deliver a highly professional candidate experience throughout the recruiting process. Manage offer development and negotiation in partnership with Human Resources, compensation teams, and Finance leadership. Maintain accurate recruiting activity, candidate records, interview feedback, and hiring documentation within the Applicant Tracking System. Monitor recruiting metrics, pipeline health, hiring progress, and time-to-fill while providing clear updates to business leaders. Day to Day Responsibilities Lead intake meetings with Finance and Accounting hiring managers to define position scope, technical requirements, preferred experience, reporting structure, and candidate evaluation criteria. Source and engage Accounting and Finance professionals through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, professional networks, referrals, targeted outreach, and internal talent pipelines. Conduct comprehensive recruiter interviews to understand candidates' Accounting and Finance experience, technical skills, systems knowledge, certifications, career progression, and compensation expectations. Evaluate candidates based on relevant experience with areas such as financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis, AP/AR, audit, tax, treasury, and accounting operations. Assess candidates' experience with financial and ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Workday, NetSuite, and other relevant platforms when applicable to the position. Present well-qualified candidate profiles to hiring teams with clear summaries of relevant technical experience, systems knowledge, compensation expectations, and availability. Prepare candidates for interviews by providing clear information regarding the organization, position, Finance leadership team, and selection process. Coordinate interviews across multiple stakeholders while maintaining timely and professional communication with candidates and hiring teams. Facilitate candidate debrief meetings and help hiring managers evaluate technical qualifications, communication skills, business acumen, and overall fit. Manage multiple Accounting and Finance searches simultaneously across different functions and levels of seniority. Build strong relationships with candidates, Finance executives, hiring managers, HR partners, and other internal stakeholders. Track recruiting activity and prepare status reports, pipeline summaries, hiring metrics, and leadership updates. Stay informed on Accounting and Finance labor market conditions, compensation trends, candidate availability, and competitive hiring practices. Preferred Experience and Attributes 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting or talent acquisition experience supporting professional, corporate, or leadership-level positions. Demonstrated experience recruiting Accounting and Finance professionals across multiple functions and levels of seniority. Experience recruiting for positions such as Accountants, Senior Accountants, AP/AR professionals, Financial Analysts, FP&A professionals, Tax professionals, Treasury professionals, Accounting Managers, Controllers, Finance Managers, Directors, and other Finance leadership positions. Strong understanding of Accounting and Finance terminology, organizational structures, technical skill sets, and common position requirements. Ability to effectively evaluate candidates based on relevant accounting experience, financial expertise, systems knowledge, certifications, industry background, and career progression. Familiarity with CPA, CMA, MBA, or other Finance and Accounting credentials and the positions where these qualifications may be relevant. Experience recruiting candidates with ERP and financial systems experience, including platforms such as Oracle, SAP, Workday, NetSuite, or similar systems. Experience managing the complete recruiting process from initial intake through accepted offer and onboarding transition. Proven ability to communicate confidently and professionally with CFOs, Controllers, Finance executives, senior leaders, hiring managers, and candidates. Strong direct sourcing capabilities with experience identifying and engaging passive Accounting and Finance talent. Experience presenting candidate profiles, market data, compensation information, and recruiting recommendations to senior leadership. Strong negotiation skills with experience managing offers, compensation discussions, counteroffers, and candidate expectations. Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other recruiting and sourcing technologies. Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple searches and competing priorities simultaneously. High level of professionalism, confidentiality, business acumen, and attention to detail.
