Medical Assistant - Behavioral Health (Young Men)

Location: Aberdeen, WA

Start Date: June 15, 2026

Schedule: Sunday-Wednesday, 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM (40 hours/week)

Pay: $30/hour (local)

Weekly Gross: $1,200

We are currently hiring a Medical Assistant to support a behavioral treatment center serving young men in Aberdeen, WA. This is a full-time contract role with a consistent Sunday-Wednesday schedule and the potential for extension.

Position Overview

As a Medical Assistant, you will support clinical operations and help ensure safe, high-quality care within a behavioral health setting. This role is a strong fit for candidates who are comfortable working with adolescent populations and thrive in a structured, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with basic clinical tasks and patient care

• Take and record vital signs, medical history, and other clinical data

• Prepare patients for exams and procedures

• Support medication management and documentation

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records

• Follow all clinical and safety protocols

• Collaborate with nursing and behavioral health staff

Requirements

• Active Washington State Medical Assistant certification (required)

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting

• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Comfortable working in a behavioral health environment with young men

• Strong communication and organizational skills

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Medical Assistant responsible for performing duties under the direction of a physician to assist in the examination and treatment of patients.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or its equivalent

• Good telephone communication skills

• Knowledge of medical terminology

• Knowledge of medical procedures

• Knowledge of clerical functions

• Current CPR card (if applicable)

• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray (if applicable)

• Current Health Certificate (if applicable)

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program; certification preferred

• Minimum of one year relevant experience preferred.

• Relevant certification/ license if applicable.

• Must be at least 18 years of age
