Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will primarily work in patients' homes, providing personalized care that accommodates their individual rehabilitation journeys. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere that encourages patient engagement and motivation. Our team operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for consistent hours and a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations in accordance with practice standards, ensuring all assessments are thorough and meet state regulations.
• Assess patient mobility, strength, and functional capabilities to set realistic and attainable rehabilitation goals.
• Design personalized Plans of Treatment for each patient, incorporating both short-term and long-term objectives, as well as collaboration with other healthcare staff when necessary.
• Deliver therapy sessions consistently according to the Plan of Treatment, adapting approaches based on the patient's progress.
• Document each patient's progress meticulously, following established medical and facility protocols.
• Participate in ongoing professional development through workshops and conferences to stay updated on the latest physical therapy practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to an effective and organized care environment for rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and age-related conditions. Your expertise will be essential in advancing patient independence and mobility, empowering individuals to achieve their rehabilitation goals safely and effectively.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and valid Physical Therapy license in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with AED training.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience providing physical therapy to a varied patient population.
• A strong aptitude for empathy, along with the ability to motivate patients to push their limits in a safe manner.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home care settings is preferred.
• Proficiency in developing evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Knowledge of best practices in equipment usage and maintenance specific to physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
